lube
water-based only. silicone lube breaks tpe down. it won't look damaged straight away, it just gets tacky and then it's ruined. oil is just as bad.
cleaning
- warm water and a mild toy cleaner after every single use
- rinse the sleeve through until the water runs clear
- air dry completely before it goes away — trapped damp is how sleeves go bad
- store somewhere cool and dark, out of sunlight
don't
- boil it or put it in a dishwasher
- use alcohol, bleach or antibacterial soap on the sleeve
- store it touching other tpe or silicone toys, they react
- put it away damp
tpe goes powdery, that's normal
a light dusting after a while is the material, not mould. a little cornstarch keeps it smooth. if it ever smells off or gets sticky and stays sticky, stop using it.
